Corrections log

A centre with no corrections log has either published nothing or erased its traces. We publish this page today while it is empty, as we published the funding ledger empty: the mechanism is built before it is needed, not after the first mistake.

How we correct

What gets correctedA number, a source, a fieldwork date, a quotation, a translation, or a link — on any page, paper or post.
Three kindsSubstantive — it changes a conclusion · Clarification — it does not, but prevents a misreading · Typographical — it does not touch meaning.
DeadlineSubstantive within 48 hours of verification, with a notice at the head of the report and not in a footnote. Others within a week.
No deletionThe previous text stays published, struck through, beside what replaced it, the reason and the date. No version is silently swapped in place.
Who told usNamed with their permission, unnamed without it — and we never use a correction as publicity.
Challenging a numberAnyone with an interest may challenge publicly; the scientific review committee replies within thirty days and the reply is published, whether the challenger was right or wrong.

Spotted an error?

Send us the page, the line, and what you believe is right. We do not ask you for full proof — pointing is enough, and we verify. If you are right we correct it and credit you.

The log

No corrections to date — and we have not yet issued a field number of our own. The first correction will appear in this table, not in a footnote and not in a silent update.
